With plenty of competition at our annual All Midwest Showcase, here are the selections for the top players list. While there was much debate, these players showed the most skills and impacted the game in the most throughout the three games and drills.

Sara Abdul (2025 Wheaton North HS): After a very good junior season, Abdul continued that high level of play here. She was one of the events top shooters of the showcase with a good ability to create her own shot from the outside. Whether from the mid-range or three with deep range, Abdul shot the ball at a very high percentage. As well, she moves very well with the ball in her hands getting into the paint. On the attack, Abdul is a skilled distributor with her vision and passing ability.

Kendra Brown (2025 Kaneland HS): While a skilled and versatile scorer, Brown greatly impressed with her shot making ability. Whether creating for herself in the mid-range or spotting up from three, Brown has a smooth jumper and was hitting her shots at a high percentage as well to being physical attacking the basket to be one of the events better scorers. Brown was also named as one of the events most versatile players with her impact on both ends of the floor and ability to do a bit of everything.

Kaitlin Cassidy (2025 Peoria Notre Dame HS): At 5’11” with her versatile skill set, Cassidy did a bit of everything during the showcase. Whether it was scoring, rebounding, defending multiple positions, or creating for teammates, the junior did it all a very high level to be one of the showcases top players. Cassidy is a good playmaker with the ball in her hands getting to the basket, hitting shots off the dribble, and distributing but can also go inside and battle for buckets and rebounds. A smart wing who knows how to play and can do it all.

Megan Ganschow (2026 Downers Grove South HS): The 6’1” sophomore was one of the top forwards of the entire showcase. She was one of the top scorers but also one of the top rebounders. She is an agile power forward who uses her size and length well plus has good footwork scoring with her back to the basket as well as rolls. In all three of her games she scored the ball at a high rate inside but also played tough interior defense aggressively contesting all shots inside.

Kayla Herron (2027 Culver Academy): While one of the top defenders of the showcase, Herron also showed a good ability to score the basketball. She is a quick and athletic guard who uses it well on both ends of the floor. A good playmaker off the dribble with her great moves, scoring around the paint and mid-range but also created often for her teammates. A disruptive on ball defender who also has quick hands in the passing lanes and forced numerous turnovers.

Paityn London (2027 Aquin School): It was another tremendous performance by London at one of our showcases. While only a freshman, the guard has such an advanced skill set and knows how to play. London was one of the top scorers of the entire camp but did so much more impacting the game in a variety of ways. She excelled playing on the attack moving so well with the ball and finishing everything around the paint but also knocked down a few threes. With her length and athleticism, she also impressed on the defensive end in addition to showing a good ability to create for her teammates.

Maya Pereda (2027 Waubonsie Valley HS): While just a freshman, Pereda was one of the more impactful players of the entire showcase. A skilled playmaking point guard with the ball in her hands. She was both one of the better scorers as well as distributors. She was often getting into the paint and continuously making plays on her drives with her elite vision. Not only did she rack up the points and assists, but is a well-rounded stat stuffer doing a bit of everything in both games and drills being all over the court making plays.

Shalaya Roberson (2026 Wisconsin Lutheran HS): While one of the top scorers of the showcase, Roberson also showed a good ability to create for others as well as playing tough perimeter defense. She is quick attacking the basket with good handle and finished the ball at a high rate but also hit a few shots from the mid-range and three. She is a skilled and energetic guard who was making plays throughout the entire event.

Taleah Turner (2025 Kankakee HS): The game of Turner continues to take big steps and she is a junior for college coaches to know. The skill and dynamic guard was one of the top scorers of the entire showcase though also played well on the defensive end of the floor. Turner moves extremely well off the dribble getting into the paint with her great moves and finished all around the paint so well doing so through contact. As well, Turner has a good stroke spotting up from the outside hitting several threes in the day. Additionally, Turner plays with great energy on the defensive end, guarding out on the perimeter, forcing turnovers, chasing down opponents in transition.
