A game that saw both teams battling to the final seconds between Oak Lawn and Lemont. Both teams were trading buckets in the final minutes. John McGowan led the way for Oak Lawn with help from teammate Davion Lawrence who sealed the game with two clutch free throws in the final seconds to grab the victory with a 59-54 win.

Matas Castillo (2023 Lemont HS IL): A true floor general that is a high IQ junior and makes everyone around him better. Castillo plays well with the ball in his hands and showed great vision creating for his teammates as well as attacking the basket. He was in constant motion, making plays and applying pressure defensively.

Nojus Indrusaitis (2024 Lemont HS IL):  An enticing 3-level scorer that can do a little bit of everything from the guard spot. Only a sophomore, he can fill it up from all over the floor and defends with a purpose. Indrusaitis has that rare combination of skill, size, athleticism, and competitiveness. Finishing with 17 points, the 6’4” guard has a clean and consistent stroke that he can get off quickly which he used to draw numerous fouls.

Davion Lawrence (2022 Oak Lawn HS IL): An undersized dominant post standing 6’5” that can score efficiently around the rim. Lawrence was physical all night in the post, backing down defenders and finishing right through them. The senior big man can also put the ball on the floor and has quick feet and great footwork for his size to get by defenders. Defensively, he controls the paint-altering shots and racks up rebounds.

John McGowan (2022 Oak Lawn HS IL): An athletic guard that uses his size and length to get shots off from anywhere behind the arc. McGowan shot the ball extremely well from three, finishing with 19 points. He was always ready to shoot on kick-outs and made them at a high rate. The Oak Lawn guard has a good stop and pop game thanks to his size at 6’3” where defenders can’t rise up and contest his shots.
