Nike Tournament of Champions 2024 & Beyond Standouts

Here are some players from the class of 2024 & beyond that stood out at the Nike Tournament of Champions.

Kamarah Banks (2026 Lady Gym Rats): Banks is a gritty scoring guard. She has a nice handle and is always a threat to score with or without the ball in her hands. The shifty guard gets paint touches at will, scoring and finding open teammates down low. She’s also a willing passer, always making the extra pass to get her team a better shot. 

Fineli Bortolotti (2024 1ON1 Milwaukee): Bortolotti is a sniper from behind the line. The 5’6" shooting guard was super efficient shooting the three. Bortolotti picked her spots well and knocked down her shots. She also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket, finishing through contact. 

Sofia Corral (2025 IL Rockets): Corral is an athletic guard who is adept at getting to the rim. The 5’9" shooting guard did a fantastic job of creating contact and getting to the line. She also has good touch around the rim with the ability to finish at the basket. Corral was the youngest player on the floor and still was able to make a huge impact on the game.

Hallie Crane (2025 M14 Hoops): Crane is a 5’8” slasher who is able to get to her spots. Crane is very strong and can bully players down low with the ability to finish at the rim. She has the ability to put the ball on the floor with a knack for grabbing rebounds, allowing her to go coast to coast.

Trista Fayta (2024 Wisconsin Purple Aces): Fayta is a superb passer. The 5’8" point guard is really good at manipulating the defense. She used her eyes to create open looks for her teammates, by looking off the defender. On defense, she uses her active hands to pressure ball handlers and force turnovers.

Aubrey Galvan (2025 Full Package): Galvan is a shifty facilitating point guard. She has a nice handle and uses shifty moves to keep defenders guessing. She’s lighting fast with the ball in her hands and can get around defenders to score with ease. She’s a surgeon in the paint, manipulating the defense to find open lanes and cutters to score. Defensively, her size plays to her advantage. She’s able to get into ball handlers and wreaks havoc getting steals, which lead to easy points. 

Gracie Grzesk (2024 Wisconsin Purple Ace): Grzesk has a huge motor and wreaked havoc on defense. The 5’11” small forward blocked shots, crashed the boards hard and took charges. On offense, she showed her solid touch, finishing everything around the basket, and was able to knock down shots from midrange.

Maggie Lardinois (2024 Wisconsin Legends): Lardinois is a high energy guard. She sets the tone for her team defensively. The point guard has good lateral quickness and often guards full court. She plays passing lanes well and gets tons of deflections, which led to easy points on the other end. 

Lauren Mader (2024 Wisconsin Legends): Mader is an agile forward who dominates the paint. She has a polished post game and showed that she can score around the rim with either hand. At 6’0”, she moves her feet well and can switch 1-4.

Teagan Mallegni (2024 Wisconsin Lakers): Mallegni is a strong knockdown shooter. At 5’11'', she has good size for her position and moves well without the ball. Her shooting ability was also on display, knocking down three’s, both off the catch and dribble. Mallegni also has some really good footwork and used her length to her advantage switching off 1-5.

Molly Knight (2025 Illinois Rockets): Knight is a high IQ point guard. She gets paint touches at will and often probes the lane, looking for cutters or shooters on the outside. She can also shoot it from deep, hitting multiple threes off the catch and dribble. 

Addison Pytleski (2024 Wisconsin Purple Aces): Pytleski is a knockdown shooter from three point range. She has good mechanics and gets good rotation on the ball. It looks like her shot is going in every time she shoots. Pytleski can also score at the basket, attacking close outs and notching points at the rim.

Zuri Ransom (2024 Full Package): Ransom is a playmaking guard. She gets to the rim easily using her long wingspan to finish acrobatically or to draw fouls. At 5’9”, she moves her feet well and is a pest on defense. She speeds up ball handlers to create turnovers, which led to fast break opportunities.

Alexandra Stricker (2024 Wisconsin Blizzard): Stricker is a 5’10'' forward who can handle the ball, shoot it from three, and score around the rim. Stricker was able to use her superior size to see over the defense and make plays for her team. She looked great in the Blizzard’s press break and was able to score at the rim with ease.

Ava Rose (2025 M14 Hoops): Rose has a solid handle and the ability to shake and break down defenders. She can score off the dribble shooting from midrange and finishing at the rim. On defense, the 5’3” point guard is solid at pressuring the ball and staying with ball handlers; she creates a lot of turnovers and forces mistakes.
