The Nike Tournament of Champions never disappoints. It is one of the top girl's basketball tournaments in the country and gathered some of the top talents as well. Here are some of the 2023 prospects who stood out.

Kamorea Arnold (2023 Midwest Elite): Kamorea Arnold continued to show why she is our top-ranked 2023 prospect out of Wisconsin. Arnold has an elite first step and has the ball on the string. Arnold looked like one of the hardest guards to stay in front of. She got to the basket with ease and showed the ability to finish through contact.

Elizabeth Baldridge (2023 IL Lady Lightning): Baldridge is a shifty scoring guard. She’s best with the ball in her hands, getting downhill to create for herself or others. She can create her own shot and is an efficient shooter from both mid-range and three, hitting them at a high percentage.

Lenee Beaumont (2023 M14): Lenee Beaumont is a true three-level scorer. The 5’11 point guard can get buckets from midrange and off the dribble. She can shoot off the catch from three-point range and can finish at the basket. Beaumont is the youngest player on her team however, she is still one of the most impactful.

Shannon Dowell (2023 Lady Brad Beal Elite): Dowell is a shot-creating forward. At 5’10”, she has good size for her position, and uses it to her advantage. She has a quick first step and can get in the paint at will. She has a strong base and absorbs contact in the paint to finish. She also hounds the offensive glass, giving her team easy points and extra possessions.

Katy Eidle (2023 Wolverinas): Katy Eidle is a playmaking guard that does it all. She can score with the best, pass the ball like a point guard and create for herself or others. She’s best with the ball in her hands getting downhill. Defensively, she’s a ball hawk forcing lots of turnovers leading to easy points in transition.

Kyra Funk (2023 Wisconsin Blaze): Funk is a knockdown shooting guard. She’s a confident shooter and doesn’t need much room to get her shot off, hitting four threes both off the dribble and spotting up. She’s a timely cutter finding open seams in the defense to score or get fouled.

Rashunda Jones (2023 Lady Gym Rats): Jones excelled at getting into the paint; she used her quick first step to penetrate and finish at the rim. The 5’9” point guard also did a nice job of setting up her teammates for looks at the rim with her superb court vision.

Rachel Kaus (2023 Full Package): Kaus is a high-energy athletic forward. She runs the floor well and has a polished post-game. She’s very active in the paint, fighting for position to get easy layups at the rim. The forward is also a good post defender using her footwork to keep the ball in front, making it tough to score at the rim.

Brigid Kennedy (2023 IL Defenders): Brigid Kennedy knows how to the game really well; she understands where to be on the court and on both sides of the ball. The 5’3” point guard is a really good cutter off the ball, finding holes in the defense and scoring at the rim. When she has the ball in her hands, she is a solid passer finding her teammates in drive and kick scenarios and can finish at the basket.

Alyssa Latham (2023 Midwest Elite): Alyssa Latham really stood out during the tournament. She is an outstanding finisher near the rim. The 6’1 power forward has great touch in the paint and showed the ability to finish through contact. Latham can also knock down shots from mid-range.

Tikiyah Nelson (2023 Lady Brad Beal Elite): Nelson is a playmaking guard. She’s best with the ball in her hands, creating shots for herself and her team. She has a nice handle and can get anywhere on the floor. Defensively, she’s a pest often, guarding 94 feet and forcing turnovers.

Olivia Peterson (2023 Wisconsin Blaze): Olivia Peterson is a sharpshooting guard. She’s a dead eye shooter from three and doesn’t need much room to get her shot off. She showed that she can hit the three off the catch and dribble. She moves well without the ball and plays at her own pace.

Ashlynn Shade (2023 Lady Gym Rats): Ashlynn Shade has some of the best footwork I have ever seen out of a young prospect. Shade has a solid handle and is an artist from midrange. She has excellent touch around the rim and the ability to finish through contact, making her one of the top prospects in the Nation.

Sidney Rogers (2023 Midwest Elite): Rogers is a super quick guard who can beat everyone down the floor. Rogers can attack the basket and has good touch around the rim. She is also a good passer who looks to set her teammates up at the basket.

Allison Treacy (2023 IL Rockets): Allison Treacy thrived in transition. The 5’6” small forward has a solid handle and did a great job of finding her teammates on the break. She also got to the rim a ton and exhibited her finishing ability.

Kace Urlacher (2023 Illinois Hustle): Urlacher is a long agile forward. Standing at 6’0, she has good size for her position. She has a nice handle and can use her frame to overpower defenders to get downhill. She’s very active on the defensive end, using her long wingspan to disrupt passing lanes.
